So I had to put my plans on hold and take some time out this week, due to a couple members of my immediate family being ill. But that's how life goes and they are well on the road to recovery now, thank God.
Being the dorky big kid I am, I forced them to watch one of my favourite musicals 'Annie'. Dunno about them, but I really enjoyed it and have been singing all the songs ever since...but I didn't realise there were so many sexual innuendos...Miss Hannigan was very forward every time she was in male presence. My son was like "she loves everyone doesn't she mummy?"...I was like, "yeah she is very friendly isn't she?"...It's crazy how everything seems different when you are a kid...
Nevertheless, I am a big kid and enjoyed the fairytale ending and I am waiting for my Daddy Warbucks to come and adopt me still!
Maybe Tomorrow ?!
Love this one...you're never fully dressed without a smile :)
Nite nite xx

So...I had a million and one things planned for this week, but it's mad how quickly things change.
My son is not well, don't worry, it's just a chest infection, but I have to make sure it doesn't get any worse because of his condition.
But he is okay. Just doing my head in! His usual verbal diarrhoea seems to have intensified! And I am stuck watching Action man, The Suite life of Zach and Cody, Marry Poppins. Arrrrghhhhhh!!!!!!
I am quite a homely person, so I don't mind staying in, but having no choice is NOT the lick.
Anyway. I've had my moan now. I feel a lot better :)

So I ended up going out last night.
I was in two minds, but I thought, hey, what the hay!
So off I went to Carbon to meet my friend Adanna and co. Well not before a few technical hitches. I couldn't get my hair to curl!!! I tried with the GHD's (girls you know what I'm talking about) but the curls looked a bit uncurly. So Plan B ...I got out the old large barrelled Treseme curling tongs. But by this time the clock was ticking and I was left with 5 minutes to put on me face, hence the lack of make up.
So...and I know it's been a re-occuring theme in my life lately...but I was late.
And when I got there there was a massive queue...Luckily my boys Geran and Antoine AKA D&G specialists came to the rescue and got me in ( I love u guys)...As usual the music was banging and the vibe was great.
But never again will I underestimate the potentness of Vodka...all I can say is, it proper knocked me and I had to crash at a friend's house because I obviously couldn't drink and drive...BIG no no!
I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow and woke up at midday. I regret drinking because normally I know my limits. But as I have never really drunk vodka before, I didn't realise how it would affect me...and I only had what I thought was a small quantity.
Oh well, you live and learn and I had a good sleep anyway ;)
I have just been indoors chilling with my son today. Cooked the Sunday dinner of jerk chicken and rice and peas.
I was meant to perform tonight at an event but due to unforeseen circumstances, had to cancel. But there will be more performances very soon.
Wow, I can't believe the weekend is nearly over already. It just flew by.
Got loads of stuff to do this week...oooooh and I'm looking forward to the new series of America's Next Top Model...it's gonna be a good one...apparently there is a transexual in the top 12!
Speak in the week

I hope you are doing well.
I've been deprived of my sleep for the last few nights for one reason or another.
Last night, well this morning my phone went off at 4:30am...text message! A totally irrelevant message at that. I was so vexed. When I replied saying why did you send me this message, the person was like, " how come you're up?" HELLO!!!! You just sent me a bloody message.
Anyone who knows me, knows I love my sleep so I didn't appreciate it AT ALL,especially in the knowledge that I had a busy day ahead of me.
I had a rehearsal at 10:30 am...which I didn't reach till 11:30!
Then I had to meet Nadia who is doing a great job as my PA. She's been looking after my fan page and responding to messages on my behalf and generally just keeping stuff in order. Had a lovely cuppa and before I knew it, it was time to pick up my one son ;)
Had to make him dinner, now I'm just flaking out.
It's gonna be an early one tonight. I intended on having one last night, but went to see my friend, who is the mother of my little cutie cousin, Savannah. She just turned four, well last month, but she had chicken pox on her birthday so her party was cancelled :( So I took her present over yesterday...and she loved her Lola doll :)
She's a lucky little girl cos she also got a puppy for her bday. She's only 7 weeks old but my dog was running away from her although she was half the size, pffft!
I guess Marley could tell she was in another dog's territory...
So it's the weekend. I hope you all have a good one. I might go out tomorrow night as some of my friends wanna go shake a leg! Sunday, it's footie with my son in the morning and possibly a performance Sunday evening. As soon as it is confirmed etc I will put up details.
Have a good weekend mi darlins

I have received messages from some of you guys saying I have abandoned you! Never that...Just had a few things to sort out, but I appreciate your messages. Nice to know you're thinking of me.
Okay...so I have had a break but I am back now. And back with a vengence :)
I came back yesterday after a week out and am ready to work (and play) hard.
Finally I have received some of the pictures of the "I'm so fly" shoot. Part two is to scheduled for a couple weeks time so look forward to more pictures.
I also did a shoot with photographer Darrel Hunter over a week ago. It was a spontaneous shoot, but we had so much fun. I actually just went and had a look at some of the pics and chose which ones I liked, and it was a hard task cos he is so damn good! When you see the pics, you will know what I mean...
Got a couple of performances coming up too, very soon, so I wil let you know ASAP. Probably in the next couple of days.
I hope you are all well and you have had a great start to 2009. I can't believe it is nearly february already!
Anyway. I just wanted you all to know that I am still here and doing well.

I'm not sure how to describe my last few days. It has been a mixture of highs and lows, not really extreme in either case! They kinda cancelled each other out...
I recovered surprisingly quickly from New Years. Probably because I didn't drink as I was designated driver! But I am not a big drinker, so that was fine with me anyway.
My son went with his father on Saturday moring...well afternoon (because the lazy boy refused to get up), leaving me twiddling my thumbs. I was feeling a bit unsettled about an unresolved issue with a friend, but we were getting nowhere so I decided to take myself out of the situation and distract myself by keeping busy! Not hard for me.
So I spruced myself up (a bath and some lipgloss can make things seem much better) and went to meet a friend to just hang out and we had a laugh and had some food. Then I travelled out of London to see another friend, and went to the movies to see that new film 'The Spirit' (Eva Mendes, Samuel L Jackson). It's not my usual type of movie, but I actually enjoyed it. Unfortunately, that night I caught a cold because somebody (not mentioning any names) left the window open...so now I am suffering the consequences. I have been sneezing and I have a beautiful red nose! Very attractive.
Like I may have mentioned before, I am a soldier, so it was business as usual on Monday. I had a meeting in Westfields Centre, so I was able to combine work and pleasure! But I am being very sensible and only purchased one item! I am so proud of myself. I am not one for living beyond my means, and with the dreaded 'credit crunch', one has to be sensible.
Luckily, the meeting was very brief, much quicker than expected, but we covered what we needed to and I will give you more details in due course on what it was about. I don't like to get ahead of myself or give too much away too soon.
All I can say is that it is a project I am happy to be a part of and I hope you guys will like it too.
I have had my cousin with me too, as he is on vacation from the States. It's been nice catching up with him and showing him a bit of London and what I get up to.
Today I took my son to the barbers...I wish I had taken a picture of him before the hair cut! Oh my days...he had this awful afro...which was curly and straight at the same time...Weird.
He refused to let me cut it for ages cos he said it's too cold, and I understand what he's saying, but really, he was looking like an abandoned child. I was actually getting embarrassed to take him places and felt the need to explain his appearance before the questions came. So, I finally put my foot down and took him to the barbers, who made him look like my child again...I was sooo happy, but my son isn't. Oh well. It's part of my job as a mother to annoy my offspring! lol
FACEBOOK...tried to upset me today by disabling my profile, which has 5000 friends on it...without warning. However, I have not breached any of the rules, so I am pretty confident they will give it back. However, I have another profile and loads of my friends have missed me and are all adding me again. So it was bitter sweet. It was an inconvenience, but then, it shows that my friends care cos they missed me :) xx
Anyways people, I need to rest so that i recover because I have too much to do to be spending 2009 sick, in bed! Not gonna happen peeps. Nothing is gonna keep me down for more than 5 minutes! I won't let it!
Sleep tight my darlings...you probably are already...

Hello my friends,
I am probably the last person to wish you 'Happy New year' and the last to wish you all the best, but I mean it sincerely.
I planned on staying in for New Years,as I had it in my head that I didn't want to enter the new year in a club, but my friends encouraged me to let my hair down (as I went to get my hair done that morning!). So I compromised and spent the turn of the year chatting to my nearest and dearest, then went out after.
Overall, I had a nice evening despite a few silly billies thinking it was a good idea to start smashing glasses and attempting to break champagne bottles because they couldn't handle their drink .
It was lovely being out as I don't go out that often and we are organising another night out soon...So, me girlies, look out for an invite very soon.
I'm going to head to my bed now because I didn't get home until 6:30am and only had few hours sleep.
But I just wanted to let you know I'm good and looking forward to what 2009 brings. I have a lot of things lined up and will be able to let you know exactly what I am doing when everything is confirmed.
Alrighty, my bed is calling me
